The Kaiser Permanente School of Medicine will be renamed in honor of late Kaiser Permanente chairman and CEO Bernard J. Tyson, reflecting Tyson’s commitment to the future of healthcare and the school. Tyson passed away unexpectedly on November 10. The Kaiser Permanente Bernard J. Tyson School of Medicine, located in Pasadena, California, is scheduled to welcome its inaugural class of medical students in the summer of 2020.
