Our two-day SLW is designed for our regular MD and MD-PhD admitted students to experience what the city of Pasadena has to offer! Admits will have the opportunity to visit our school in person to learn more about the unique offerings of KPSOM from our students, faculty, and staff.
We hope you will determine KPSOM to be a great fit for you, as we already know you will be an excellent fit into our program.

Second-Look Weekend
We are currently working to finalize the agenda for Second-Look Weekend 2025 (SLW). Please note the scheduled dates for SLW 2025 are Friday, April 4 and Saturday, April 5.
The Office of Admissions will provide one-night hotel accommodations for admitted students who attend Second-Look Weekend. Hotel accommodations will be made for the night of Friday, April 5th. Admitted students can accept or decline hotel accommodations upon registration. The Office of Admissions can also provide travel reimbursement for admitted students who demonstrate financial need through their AMCAS applications. Second-Look Weekend events begin on Friday, April 5 at 3:00 p.m. and conclude on Saturday, April 6 at 4:30 p.m. It is best to book arrival and departure flights at least 2 to 4 hours before the start and end of Second-Look Weekend.
All information needed prior to Second-Look Weekend will be provided to you via your AMP application portal before your arrival. During our two-day program, we will provide information covering all four years of the medical education program, curriculum, and student resources at KPSOM. We encourage all admitted students to come prepared to ask questions. We will provide substantial opportunities for interaction with faculty, staff, and current students.
Event attire is business casual. Comfortable shoes are recommended.
