Founding Dean Named One of Most Influential People in Healthcare

Modern Healthcare honored 100 individuals judged to be the most influential people bringing change to the healthcare industry.

PASADENA, Calif. — The Kaiser Permanente School of Medicine announced today that Founding Dean and CEO Mark A. Schuster, MD, PhD, was recognized by Modern Healthcare as one of 2018’s 100 Most Influential People in Healthcare. The recognition program acknowledges and honors individuals who are deemed by their peers and the senior editors of Modern Healthcare to be the most influential individuals in the industry, in terms of leadership and impact.

“I am honored to be included by Modern Healthcare and to appear on a list with Bernard Tyson,” said Mark Schuster, MD, PhD, founding dean and CEO of the Kaiser Permanente School of Medicine. “I appreciate that this is a recognition of the school and the importance of what we are trying to achieve; educating physicians who are prepared to meet the needs of communities throughout the nation.”

Kaiser Permanente Chairman and CEO Bernard J.
