Biography
Senior Board Services Lead
Noelle Ito directs the work supporting the Kaiser Permanente Bernard J. Tyson School of Medicine’s Board of Directors, both in collaboration with the school’s leadership and as a consultant to the Board Chair. She manages all support services to the Board of Directors and its committees. Ms. Ito is also involved in special projects and school-wide events for the Office of the Dean. She is a proud founding member of the Advisory Board for the Asian American and Pacific Islander Staff and Faculty Group at KPSOM.
Before joining the school, Ms. Ito had over twenty-five years of experience in the nonprofit sector, specifically in fund development and philanthropy. Her early work was related to health causes, such as educating peers on HIV/AIDS, searching for Asian bone marrow donors, and fundraising to find a cure for Multiple Sclerosis. In her most recent role at Avery Dennison, she worked with the corporation and the foundation to increase employee engagement and distribute philanthropic resources around the globe.
Ms. Ito holds a Bachelor of Arts in Human Services from the George Washington University and a Master of Business Administration from the American Jewish University. Under President Obama’s Administration, The White House Office of Public Engagement honored Ms. Ito with a “Champion of Change” Award for her service in AmeriCorps.
