Quyen Ngo-Metzger, MD, MPH, Kaiser Permanente Bernard J. Tyson School of Medicine (KPSOM) Professor of Health Systems Science, has been named to the AcademyHealth 2027 Board of Directors. AcademyHealth announced Metzger's appointment as part of a new class of board members representing expertise across health services research, health policy, health care delivery, health equity, and workforce development.
As AcademyHealth's governing body, the Board of Directors provides strategic direction for the organization and helps guide programs and services that advance the use of evidence to improve health and health care.
"Thank you for representing Kaiser Permanente," said Andrew Bindman, Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer for Kaiser Permanente, in a note of congratulations to Metzger. "You will be an important ambassador.”
Metzger's appointment reflects KPSOM's growing contribution to national conversations on health systems science, health policy, and evidence-informed care. Her three-year term will begin in December 2026.
