New Medical School Will Waive Tuition for First Five Classes

Kaiser Permanente aims to give applicants the freedom to pursue their passions without the barrier of a medical education’s cost.

Every single student in the first five classes attending Kaiser Permanente's new medical school will have their full tuition covered, officials announced Tuesday. Subsequent classes will also receive very generous financial aid.

Kaiser Permanente School of Medicine will open in the summer of 2020 as one of the few American medical schools not attached to a university, but to a health system championing equity and community service.
