Kaiser Permanente Bernard J. Tyson School of Medicine (KPSOM) has published the Spring 2026 issue of The Torch, its official digital magazine, spotlighting student achievement, innovative approaches to medical education, and the school’s deepening community and philanthropic engagement. The second issue, produced by the Office of Marketing and Communications, underscores how KPSOM’s mission is being lived out across classrooms, clinics, neighborhoods, and research settings.

The cover story chronicles KPSOM’s third Match Day, where every participating student successfully matched into a residency program, continuing the school’s 100 percent match record. Held at the Pasadena Convention Center, the event featured remarks from Dean and CEO John L. Dalrymple, MD, and personal stories from students who matched into programs across the country, from orthopedic surgery and obstetrics and gynecology to psychiatry, radiology, family medicine, and internal medicine.

In his “From the Dean” column, Dr. Dalrymple frames the new issue around a shared commitment to learning, discovery, and service that extends beyond campus. He notes that the Class of 2026’s match success reflects the strength of KPSOM’s educational model and values, and points readers to additional features that explore how the school is broadening concepts of health, examining the history and ethics of medicine, and uplifting local youth through literacy.
