Lead Clinical Psychologist, Board Certified in Clinical Psychology
Dr. Ashwini Lal oversees all clinical and administrative operations of Student Psychological Services. He provides individual psychotherapy, consultation, and crisis services and also engages in developing outreach programming to address student needs.
Dr. Lal has trained and worked in various hospitals (state, county, private, VA) and university health settings. He most recently worked as a Staff Psychologist, Liaison to Resident Life, and Course Instructor at California Institute of Technology (Caltech) and as a Staff Psychologist at Stanford University.
In psychotherapy, Dr. Lal uses an integrative approach that involves increasing an individual's awareness into factors contributing to their struggles using a relational framework and working collaboratively to increase one's ability to manage current symptoms.
