Senior Educational Platform Consultant

Mr. Berg partners with faculty, staff, and students to manage and oversee the development of the Office of Medical Education Educational Technology portfolio. This includes the learning management system (LMS), curriculum management system (CMS), audience response tool, video repository, attendance management software, and various other tools and platforms to improve the educational experience. Additionally, Mr. Berg oversees KPSOM’s current curriculum mapping efforts for LCME, WSUC, and AAMC reporting. He also closely collaborates with the Instructional Design team on projects involving A/V and 3D printing technologies and the Office of Faculty Educator Development on faculty development trainings.

Prior to joining the school, Mr. Berg oversaw the LMS and educational technology portfolio for the Medical University of South Carolina’s James B. Edwards College of Dental Medicine and worked closely with the Director of Education to institute a testing center to serve students with academic accommodations; and successfully supported the adoption of online learning throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mr. Berg has earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with an emphasis in History from Charleston Southern University and has taken graduate-level courses in Education Administration and Educational Technology from Charleston Southern University and the University of South Carolina.
