Admissions Interview Coordinator

Mr. Hartfield joined the Kaiser Permanente Bernard J. Tyson School of Medicine admissions team in August 2022 with over nine years of experience in graduate and health professions admissions. Prior to joining KPSOM, he was a founding staff member in admissions for the School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences at Keck Graduate Institute (KGI), a member of The Claremont Colleges. While there, Mr. Hartfield worked to recruit and matriculate the inaugural cohort for the Doctor of Pharmacy and other doctorate and master’s level programs. Eventually serving as the Senior Associate Director of Admissions, he worked alongside the Director to oversee admissions for all programs at KGI. In addition to his admissions role, he served as a Director for the KGI Pre-Pharmacy Enrichment Program (PrEP), a summer exposure program for high school seniors and undergraduate students interested in learning about the profession of pharmacy.

After receiving his bachelor’s degree and prior to KGI, Mr. Hartfield taught English at a middle school in the Huairou District of Beijing, China.

Jason earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Political Economy and Asian Studies from Carthage College in Wisconsin and a Master of Arts in Higher Education from the University of Redlands.
