Biography
Director of Operations
At Kaiser Permanente Bernard J. Tyson School of Medicine, Dr. Dawodu partners with academic and administrative leaders to promote operational excellence, organizational effectiveness, and the implementation of key institutional priorities. Her work focuses on aligning people, processes, and resources to advance school-wide initiatives, strengthen cross-departmental collaboration, and promote effective execution.
With nearly two decades of experience in healthcare operations and higher education, Dr. Dawodu has led initiatives spanning organizational development, strategy, process improvement, business continuity, and change management. Dr. Dawodu joined KPSOM in 2019 as its founding Business Operations Manager, before the school had even welcomed its inaugural class. She helped establish the institution’s operational foundation and now serves as Director of Operations. She collaborates with leaders across the institution to develop systems and practices that promote accountability, enhance performance, and support continuous improvement. Her responsibilities include service-level agreements, business continuity planning, and programs that advance KPSOM’s mission and strategic priorities.
Dr. Dawodu earned a Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership from the University of Massachusetts Global. Her dissertation, Personal Disruption in the Career Advancement of Female Executives in Medical Education, examined the leadership strategies and professional experiences of women in executive roles within academic medicine. She also holds a Master of Business Administration from the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University, a Master of Arts in Health, Exercise, and Sports Sciences from the University of the Pacific, and a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences with a concentration in Biomedical Sciences from California State University, Sacramento.
