Thomas Y. Tom, MD, FACP

Dr. Thomas Tom is a Southern California Permanente Medical Group physician specializing in internal medicine at the Los Angeles Medical Center. Dr. Tom has led efforts to improve screening rates for colorectal cancer, increase flu vaccinations, and advance the quality of outpatient diabetic care. He is active in community service as director of the Kaiser Permanente Internal Medicine Academy at the Helen Bernstein STEM High School for urban city students, and as coordinator of the La Puente Community Health Fair. Dr. Tom is the principal investigator on two state grants to address health care disparities and social determinants of health in underserved communities.
