Rosaysela (Rosie) Santos, PhD

Faculty Director of the Anatomy Resource Center; Assistant Professor

Biomedical Science

Dr. Rosaysela Santos specializes in anatomy and embryology/developmental biology. Her expertise centers on enhancing anatomy instruction by seamlessly blending physical examination maneuvers, clinical cases, and surgical procedures. She is particularly passionate about advancing anatomy instruction in undergraduate medical programs. Her research interests encompass leveraging technology in anatomy pedagogy and assessment, evaluating the impact of peer-led interventions, and assessing the benefits of integrating clinical procedures and physical examinations into the anatomy curriculum for novice learners. Dr. Santos also has a rich background in early education, community engagement, and community service, exposing young students to a wide range of health and health-adjacent careers with the goal of impacting social change and investing in tomorrow’s diverse healthcare workforce.
