Health Systems Science

Dr. Ngozi Chukwu-Abayomi has extensive experience in teaching and medical practice. She has served as a per diem physician in Family Medicine with Kaiser Permanente Ontario Medical Center and as the Founding Program Director for the Enhanced Post Baccalaureate Certificate Program in Pre-Medicine at Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science (CDU), where she continues to serve as an Assistant Clinical Professor. With KPSOM, Dr. Chukwu-Abayomi is the Service-Learning Lead at ParkTree Community Center. She mentors and supports ongoing student projects at ParkTree and participates in other aspects of the HSS curriculum. Dr. Chukwu-Abayomi has dedicated herself to service experiences, aiming to understand and overcome health and education barriers for underserved communities, including immigrant communities like her own. She has volunteered both inside and outside the classroom, organized college and career fairs, developed health curricula, and served as a mentor and preceptor to aspiring medical students.
