Clinical Science
Nancy H. Spiegel is Assistant Dean for Wellness and Clinical Integration for the Kaiser Permanente Bernard J. Tyson School of Medicine. She is responsible for overseeing the development of a wellness and resilience curriculum and ensuring the development of support programs and tools to assist students with handling the rigors of medical school. She also co-directs the school’s clinical experience curriculum, which provides students with exposure to patient encounters and healthcare teams over the full four years of the curriculum. In addition, Ms. Spiegel serves as the Executive Leader for Medical Education, Wellness and Leadership Development for the Southern California Permanente Medical Group, where she oversees leadership development, graduate medical education programs, and continuing medical education (CME) as well as outcome-driven wellness programs and activities. She also provides change management and leadership development expertise to the executive leadership team of Kaiser Permanente Southern California. Ms. Spiegel has served in several Kaiser Permanente leadership roles managing Organizational Research, Education and Training, and the Employee Assistance Program. Prior to Kaiser Permanente, she oversaw the national survey research program for the Xerox Corporation and served as an instructor in organizational psychology at the University of Rochester.
