Dr. Maria Carrasco is a family medicine physician with the Southern California Permanente Medical Group. She has researched and presented on topics ranging from diversity, language concordance, and implicit bias, to health equity related to diabetes, hypertension, colon cancer screening, influenza vaccination, transgender care, LGBT care and Jehovah’s Witnesses health beliefs. In addition, Dr. Carrasco has chaired several conferences on equity, inclusion, and diversity at regional and local levels. Her educational activities include clinical teaching and acting as preceptor for University of Southern California medical students.
