Dr. Justin Yang is an orthopedic surgeon at the Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center. He has a rich history in sports medicine, having served his residency and fellowship caring for professional athletes from a wide variety of sports organizations. Dr. Yang engages in ACL and shoulder registry research and he is excited to help KPSOM students learn how to do effective and high impact clinical research. He specializes in treating injury and instability of the shoulder and knee, shoulder dislocations, labrum tears, cartilage defects, multi-ligament injuries of the knee, and meniscus tears. Additionally, he cares for patients with rotator cuff problems and performs shoulder replacement procedures in older individuals. Dr. Yang is trained in both arthroscopic and open reconstruction techniques and works closely with the nonoperative primary care sports medicine team to get athletes back in the game and patients back to their recreational activities and normal function.
