Dr. Jeffrey Lee is a practicing physician, gastroenterologist, and cancer epidemiologist. He is an attending physician at Kaiser Permanente San Francisco Medical Center and a Research Scientist II at Kaiser Permanente Northern California’s Division of Research. Dr. Lee’s clinical focus is general gastroenterology, hepatology, and colorectal cancer prevention, with his research efforts focusing to optimize the screening and prevention efforts for colorectal cancer. As KPSOM, Dr. Lee applies his colorectal cancer prevention and screening research to mentoring KPSOM medical students. Dr. Lee is also the site contact Principal Investigator of an NCI-funded research network, the Cancer Screening Research Network, and study, the Vanguard Trial, which evaluates the effectiveness of multi-cancer detection tests for cancer screening. He is also the site Principal Investigator for a randomized trial evaluating different surveillance strategies for colorectal cancer prevention among older adults with low-risk polyps.
