Dr. Carla Wicks is an Obstetrician and Gynecologist at Kaiser Permanente Richmond Medical Center. As a Clinical Instructor at KPSOM, Dr. Wicks serves as a mentor and advisor for medical students, centering those who are underrepresented in medicine. Her practice focuses on infertility, pediatric gynecology, and adolescent gynecology. Dr. Wicks also currently serves as the Medical Director of Equity, Inclusion, and Diversity for The Permanente Medical Group in Northern California, aligning the intentions, practices, and actions of the caregivers to meet the particular needs of the patients in the communities they serve. Throughout her service as medical director, Dr. Wicks has implemented strategies, developed programming, set guidelines and recommendations, and served as a subject matter expert for culturally responsive care and inclusion in care delivery. She cherishes the opportunities the OB/GYN field offers to educate and empower women regarding their health, and she remains dedicated to serving diverse and underserved communities.
