Biography

Assistant Professor

Clinical Science

Dr. Brian-Linh Nguyen has been practicing Family Medicine at Kaiser Permanente South Bay Medical Center since 2003, providing continuity care for his patients. He is also the local physician director of telehealth at the South Bay Medical Center. At KPSOM, Dr. Nguyen serves as an Assistant Professor in the Clinical Science Department. He is also the course director for the Reflection, Education, Assessment, Coaching, Health and well-being (REACH) course for Phase 1 and Phase 2 students and serves as a REACH coach, supporting students in their professional identity formation as future physicians aiming to foster growth, success, and well-being throughout their education. Additionally, he teaches the regional HealthConnect Electronic Health Records (EHR) Essentials as a faculty trainer. Dr. Nguyen is a co-faculty advisor for MedPride, an LGBTQ+ student interest group at the school.
