Andy Slavitt, MBA, is an Adjunct Senior Lecturer in the Department of Health Systems Science. Prior to joining the Kaiser Permanente Bernard J. Tyson School of Medicine, Mr. Slavitt served as Acting Administrator of the Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Services and Senior Advisor to President Biden’s COVID response effort, and he is currently a Member of the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology. Throughout his extensive career in the healthcare field, Mr. Slavitt has authored articles and opinion pieces in global publications, as well as making television and radio appearances, most regularly on CNN, CBS News, and MSNBC.
