Andrew L. Avins, MD, MPH

Dr. Andy Avins is a research scientist at the Division of Research, Kaiser Permanente Northern California. He holds appointments in the Departments of Medicine and Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the University of California, San Francisco, (UCSF) where he remains active in the clinical and teaching programs. Dr. Avins’ research interests include musculoskeletal and cardiovascular diseases, preventive medicine (with an emphasis on screening and treatment policies), integrative medicine (with an emphasis on clinical trials of integrative therapies), and research methodology.
