Dr. Amy Porter is a Southern California Permanente Medical Group Partner Emeritus Pediatrician at the Los Angeles Medical Center, where she also serves as LGBTQ+ Pediatric Lead. Dr. Porter previously served as chair of the SCAN (Suspected Child Abuse and Neglect) committee and chair of the Kaiser Permanente Southern California Regional Weight Management Program. She was invited to the White House in 2011 by Michelle Obama in recognition of her work with the California FreshWorks Initiative to address food deserts in California. She has been a volunteer physician on medical brigades to Honduras and Panama.
