The Kaiser Permanente Bernard J. Tyson School of Medicine has achieved full accreditation from the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME), with its next LCME survey visit scheduled for academic year 2028/2029. It currently has provisional approval from the California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE) and is a candidate for accreditation with the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC) to offer degree programs. KPSOM is in the process of obtaining initial accreditation from WSCUC, followed by full approval from California BPPE.
