Maria Ansari, MD, FACC, is Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of The Permanente Medical Group (TPMG) and President and CEO of the Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group (MAPMG). Together, TPMG and MAPMG have more than 11,000 physicians and 45,000 staff delivering high-quality healthcare to nearly 5.4 million Kaiser Permanente members in Northern California, Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. Dr. Ansari is also co-CEO of The Permanente Federation, a consortium of all Permanente Medical Groups. The Federation supports the work of more than 24,000 Permanente physicians and 93,000 staff serving 12.5 million Kaiser Permanente members. In this role, Dr. Ansari provides strategic leadership and direction to all the Permanente Medical Groups and to Kaiser Permanente. Kaiser Permanente is comprised of the Permanente Medical Groups, Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, Inc., and Kaiser Foundation Hospitals.
