Biography

Career Advising and Development Program Manager

Ms. Valinda Lee collaborates with faculty and staff to support KPSOM students in making intentional career choices. From choosing a specialty to applying to residency programs, Ms. Lee works closely with students one-on-one and in group settings to help students achieve their goals. Prior to joining Kaiser Permanente Bernard J. Tyson School of Medicine, Ms. Lee worked as the Associate Director for Career Planning and Resources at Scripps College. She has also served as adjunct faculty at La Sierra University’s School of Education teaching graduate students career counseling and has worked in private practice career counseling. She previously worked at Fuller Theological Seminary, Pomona College, and Pierce College’s EOPS office. She has presented at professional conferences including the National Career Development Association and National Association of Colleges and Employers. Ms. Lee graduated from California State University, Northridge with a MA in Counseling with an emphasis in Career Counseling. She also holds a BA degree in psychology from La Sierra University, studying abroad in both the United Kingdom and Costa Rica.
