Business Operations Manager

As Business Operations Manager, Ifeoma Agwuenu supports the Department of Biomedical Science, Department of Clinical Science, Department of Health Systems Science, the Office of Administration and Finance, the Office of Research and Scholarship, and the Office of the Dean, helping to establish consistency and efficiency in all operations across the school. Key initiatives she has supported include the development of the annual budget process, the implementation and operationalization of Adobe Sign, safe workforce reentry during the COVID-19 pandemic, the development of an interim timekeeping process, and the development of quarterly all-hands meetings.

Before coming to the school, Ms. Agwuenu had more than nine years of experience in the healthcare field. She worked closely with physicians and medical providers in various emergency departments and clinics as a medical scribe, becoming the most experienced scribe among more than 2,000 in the United States As a lead scribe, she managed the day-to-day operations of the program including compliance, budget management, recruitment and interviews, training, workforce management, and morale. Ms. Agwuenu also served as an implementation specialist, establishing new scribe programs in hospitals and clinics across the United States;  a regional lead, maintaining partnerships with hospital senior executives, medical directors, regional directors, physicians, and company stakeholders at 20 different hospitals; and supervised the development of multiple initiatives across these sites to improve the patient experience. 

Ms. Agwuenu earned her BS in Biology with a concentration in Biomedical Sciences from California State University, Sacramento. She went on to earn her MA in Health, Exercise, and Sports Sciences from University of the Pacific, and her MBA from Arizona State University.
