Director of Faculty Affairs

As Director of Faculty Affairs, Maeleine Mira oversees the team responsible for faculty appointments and promotions, data management and reporting, faculty governance, and faculty policies.  

Prior to joining KPSOM, Ms. Mira worked for more than 15 years at the USC Marshall School of Business in the Office of Executive Education and Graduate Programs, where she served as the Director of the Master of Medical Management Program and Executive Healthcare Industry Programs. In this role, Ms. Mira partnered with healthcare industry organizations and USC faculty to design curriculum and implement programs providing business and leadership education to clinician leaders and healthcare administrators. Ms. Mira established partnerships with healthcare organizations including the American Orthopedic Association, Southern California Permanente Medical Group Advanced Management Program, California Healthcare Association, Torrance Memorial Medical Center, American Association of Physician Leaders, Emergent Medical Associates, and The Everett Clinic. In addition, Ms. Mira was part of a team that designed and launched the inaugural Master of Business for Veterans program, created specifically for military veterans, active duty, and reserve personnel to discover the transferability of their military experience and skill sets to the business environment, as well as the ability to launch, manage, and grow a new business.

Ms. Mira is an International Coaching Federation trained executive coach, and volunteers to provide pro bono coaching for executives in transition. In this role, she focuses on helping professionals clarify their vision, maximize their potential, and become transformational leaders. She holds a BA in Sociology from UCLA and an Executive Master of Leadership (EML) from the USC Sol Price School of Public Policy.
