What inspires you in your work?

I’m inspired by our patients and their families and humbled by what they go through and how they go through it. I’m also inspired by our caregivers and care teams. Their resilience and humanity come through in the work we do together every day.

If you could change one thing about healthcare, what would it be?

I would make our country put aside selfish interests so that we can solve the challenge of providing access to health and healthcare for all.

What life experience has taught or changed you the most?

Becoming a mother has taught me the most about myself and humanity. Motherhood engenders unconditional love for another person, and with that comes infinite patience, selflessness, and emotional and physical endurance. In return, you receive the unconditional love of someone you brought into this world.

What’s your secret vice?
